2017 Pacific Island Jurisdiction Technical Assistance Workshop. In 2017, the Comprehensive Cancer Control National Partners (CCCNP) convened the Pacific Island Jurisdictions Comprehensive Cancer Control Technical Assistance Workshop on May 23-25, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Meeting sponsors included the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute, the University of Hawaii John Burns School of Medicine, and the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. NCCCP grantees from six Pacific Island Jurisdictions gathered to explore strategies and build capacity for community action through effective CCC coalitions in PIJs to achieve improved HPV vaccination uptake and assess and address colorectal cancer, survivorship, and palliative needs.
